Gogglebox star, Sophie Sandiford, has posted a picture of her brother after he encountered some problems with his beard trimmer.

The Blackpool siblings were quick to laugh about the snap, which shows Pete with a half finished beard and a nervous look on his face.

Posting to Instagram for the first time in four weeks, Sophie wrote: “Always check the battery levels on your beard trimmer”.

At the time of writing the post has received over 47,000 likes with many people taking to the comment section to talk about the photo.

26-year-old Pete commented on the post addressing why he had some white specs in his hair.

He wrote: “I haven’t got turbo nits - it’s from painting the living room”.

Fellow Gogglebox star, Stephen Webb, also left a comment and said: “Leave [the beard] like that for filming”.

One fan commented: “You crack me up”.

Another wrote: “Great look, Pete”.

Many people also commented on Pete’s bright orange overalls, likening him to a convict.

One wrote: “Looks like a prison shot what with the orange top too”.

“Thought this was a mugshot,” commented another.

Kathlen Baker wrote: “Love you and your sister in gogglebox - just the best”.

Pete and Sophie made their Gogglebox debut on the tenth series of the show back in 2017.

Since then, they have become firm favourites among Gogglebox fans who love their sibling relationship and humorous commentary.

The show is up for an award at the National Television Awards for best 'Factual' programme, which airs tomorrow night (9 September).

The show will be up against: Caroline Flack: Her Life and Death, Paul O'Grady: For the Love of Dogs, and Gordon, Gino and Fred: American Road Trip.

Pete is engaged to Paige Yeomans, something he announced on the Channel 4 show earlier this year.

In the episode, Sophie asked him how he felt about the upcoming nuptials asking if he “feels different” now he is engaged.

Pete replied: "Yeah I feel like an even bigger sense of responsibility I don’t know why."

In a later episode he gave viewers a sneak peek into the wedding planning process.

"Have you seen how many greys I have got by the way," Pete asked his younger sibling.

"It's all this wedding planning. I've said to Paige I'm head of the buffet.

"What I think I might do is, cheese, cocktail sausages, pineapple, cocktail sticks.”

Pete is also going to be a dad, something he revealed to his Instagram followers back in April.

He posted a picture of a baby scan with his face photoshopped onto it.

The caption reads: “I do have a hunch the baby might look like me...”.
