TOWNELEY Hall's Barwise car park will close to visitors for four weeks for major improvement works.
Barwise, off Todmorden Road, Burnley, is to close on Monday to undergo restoration as part of the £3.2million Heritage Lottery Fund work.
The car park should reopen after four weeks whilst the remaining landscaping works take place.
Visitors will be able to use alternative car parks.
Improvements will be made to the car park entrance and the roads within Barwise to improve visibility and safety.
Councillor Roger Frost, Burnley Council's executive member for leisure and recreation said: "2008 at Towneley is off to a flying start, with this exciting plan for further restoration work to the park. We hope that the scheduled work to Barwise car park will cause minimal disruption to users of the park and hall.
"Visitors are reminded that they can use both the hall car park and Riverside for the duration of the works."
