A bull was tragically killed after it was hit by a train.
On Friday morning, a passenger train travelling on the Settle line between Horton and Ribblehead hit the animal as it wandered onto the tracks.
Images from the aftermath of the incident show the farmer attending to his cattle and removing the bull from the field.
The train was damaged and taken into sidings at Ribblehead but sadly the animal died.
Thomas Beresford, who took the images said: "A passenger train hit a bull on the line between Horton and Ribblehead this morning.
"The train was damaged and put into the quarry sidings at Ribblehead.
"The bull got taken away by the farmer."
