Over 1,200 people have been hit with a power cut.
Electricity North West have said they are on their way to Rossendale after 1,221 homes have been affected by the power outage.
A spokesperson said: "Morning all, we're dispatching engineers to BB4 Rossendale due to a power cut affecting 1221 properties.
"Updates will follow and we're receiving a high number of calls from the area.
"If you need power for medical reaons, please dial 105 - Lee."
Electricity North West are expecting the power to be restored by 12:25pm.
