Motorsport legend, Carl Fogarty, will be one of the guests stars to appear on BBC’s A Question of Sport’s biggest ever live tour.
The Blackburn-born celeb will feature in the tour when it comes to Hull in September – and you can be part of the audience.
Speaking about it on his Instagram page, Carl wrote: “Looking forward to joining the line up of guests in Hull for A Question of Sport Live @qoslivetour in Hull on Friday 17th September!”
For those who don’t already know, Carl Fogarty is a British motorsport legend and one of the most successful World Superbike racers of all time.
In a glittering career the Lancashire-born racer – known as ‘Foggy’ – won the World Superbike title no fewer than four times (in 1994, 1995, 1998 and 1999). He holds the second highest number of race wins ever at 59.
Starring long-time host Sue Barker and popular team captains Matt Dawson and Phil Tufnell, A Question of Sport Live is the perfect way for fans to see the hit show up close in a thrilling live environment.
The live shows – which follow the popular TV format, and features many of the rounds and challenges fans know and love – will be a fun-packed and joyous lap of honour for Sue, Matt and Phil who stepped down from the hit BBC TV show earlier this year.
Carl isn’t the only famous sportsperson who will make an appearance.
The four-time World Superbike Champ ‘Foggy’ join former Yorkshire and England cricket ace Ryan Sidebottom, Yorkshire-born Olympic diving champion, Jack Laugher and Euro Tour golf star Sophie Walker on the teams at Hull Bonus Arena on Friday September 17.
Harrogate-born Jack Laugher won gold in Rio 2016 with partner Chris Mears in the men's synchronised 3m springboard – the pair becoming Britain's first diving Olympic champions in the process. Three-time European champion Jack followed his Rio gold with bronze in the individual 3m springboard just weeks ago in Tokyo.
Flamboyant England international pace bowler Ryan Sidebottom played for both Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire during his 20-year first-class cricket career – winning five County Championships. Huddersfield-born Ryan took more than 1,000 career wickets – including 79 test wickets – before retiring in 2017.
Grimsby-born Sophie Walker's passion for golf started at a very young age. By 15 she became English Girls champion and later Ladies Strokeplay champion before going on to play more than 150 European Tour events. She is now a popular media analyst, commentator and coach.
Ben Hatton, Director of Theatre Touring for Cuffe and Taylor, said: “This tour has been two years in the planning so we cannot wait for these unmissable shows to happen.
“We are delighted to be able to announce a host of sporting favourites – including many world champions, Olympians and household names – will be joining Sue, Matt and Phil.
“Demand for tickets has been truly phenomenal so I would advise any fans to not delay in getting theirs.”
Final tickets for this unmissable show – A Question of Sport’s first live tour in more than a decade – are available via ticketmaster.co.uk
