A Lancashire actress has been shortlisted for an award at the National Television Awards – and a video shows her joyous reaction to the nomination.
Blackburn-born Rhiannon Clements is nominated for the Best Newcomer of the Year for her role as Summer Ranger in Hollyoaks.
In a video posted to the official Hollyoaks page, both Billy Price and Rhiannon’s reactions were filmed.
Hollyoaks wrote: “Today is a big day for #Hollyoaks! The voting for the #NTA Awards is OPEN!
“And here, you can take a look at the very moment @BillyyPrice and @rhiannonclem found out they were shortlisted for two very special awards!
“Make sure to vote all things Hollyoaks!”
In the video, the pair were asked to meet producers and crew for “an important discussion”.
They then spoke to show’s Executive Producer, Lucy Allen, via video call.
Billy remarked: “I’m dead nervous,” while Lucy added: “I’m triggered! I’m like ‘what’s going on?’”

Lucy said: “I wanted to have a little bit of a chat about your recent performance in the show.
“As a consequence of your recent both performances, you have both… been nominated in the NTAs this year.”
In the video Rhiannon is seen beaming and both seem relieved that the video call wasn’t for a stern telling off.
Ms Allen added: “Just go win them, bring them home and I will see you very soon.”
Later in the video, Rhiannon explains: “We just found out that we are shortlisted for the NTAs so we’re having a little photoshoot.”
Ms Clements also reflected on her favourite moments playing Summer.
She recalled: “All the stuff in the store room because it’s been a long, burning process of [Summer] hiding stuff and playing all these games."
She added: “Thank you very much for everyone that’s voted. Yeah, it’s crazy.
“I get to go to the O2 in London! Never been before so that’s good.”
How can I vote for Rhiannon?

You have until Thursday 9th September to cast your votes.
The star-studded ceremony will be broadcast live on ITV on 9th September 2021 from 7.30pm - with new NTA host Joel Dommett leading the celebrations.
Rhiannon is in The Newcomer category, which honours the stars of soapland whose arrivals have made a big impression.
The other terrific debut performers in the category are ten-year-old Jude Riordan (the adorable Sam Blakeman on Coronation Street), Emile John (aka new Emmerdale legal eagle Ethan Anderson), Olivia D'Lima (forthright paramedic Fenisha on Casualty) and Rose Ayling-Ellis (the Carter clan's newest addition Frankie Lewis on EastEnders).
You can cast your vote on the NTA website.
