AUTHOR Diane Hull from Cliviger is so concerned about young children’s mental health that she has been giving away her children’s picture books.
Sponsored by store manager Asad Ali from Tesco Express, Diane organised a treasure hunt to find Baby Bird, a character in her book, “Be Happy to Be You.”
“Picture books are a fantastic way to connect with young children and teach them about feelings and emotions. By encouraging them to talk about issues from an early age, we can start to prepare them to open up in years to come,” she said.
Six lucky children, aged between 2 and 6 years, who found Baby Birds were given a book and a Tesco goodie bag.
