AN alcoholic mistook a town centre hairdresser's shop for an off-licence.
Blackburn magistrates heard that John Bailey staggered into Pure Hair Design on Higher Church Street and collapsed against a glass display cabinet. Police had to help him to his feet and carried him from the salon.
Bailey, 41, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to breaching an anti-social behaviour order.
He was fined £50 which was set against the three days which he had already spent in custody.
Emma Keogh, prosecuting, said it was the tenth breach of the order since it was imposed on October 26.
Clare Knight, defending, said Bailey was a homeless alcoholic who was banned by court order from being drunk in public
