The Radford family recently embarked on a family trip to Scotland which must have been a difficult feat for Britain’s largest family.
They journeyed up north in two camper vans- and it’s hard to believe that they were able to fit so many family members inside of them.
Sue revealed that the family were going to have an adventure on route 500 in Scotland.
In a YouTube video, the family gave use a tour of the camper vans and revealed exactly how Sue, Noel and 13 of thehir children were able to live inside them.
The sleeping and seating arrangement required a lot of organisation- and the journey turned out to be a bit of a military operation.
At the start of the vlog, Sue revealed that the family would be making the eight hour journey to Inverness on the hottest day of the year; luckily, their campervans had air conditioning.
Sue then took us on a quick tour of one of the compact camper vans.
She said: “We’ve got a seating area around here, loads of storage and a little TV which I’m told you can fit CDs in.”
Archie and Heidi baby seats were prepped and ready for the journey too.
The family would also be sleeping in the camper vans, all thanks to some clever storage solutions.
The dining area also doubles as a bedroom as the table can go down to make a double bed.
Panning the camera to the roof, Sue revealed that there was a mattress and bed on the roof which could come down.
At the other end of the campervan were some double beds.
Sue said: “I think Hallie, phoebe and bonnie are going to be on this one.”
Sue also gave us a quick glimpse at the quaint bathroom which contained a shower and a toilet.
“Archie is very excited about this toilet,” Sue joked as three-year-old entered the shot.
Later in the vlog, Noel also gave us a tour of the sleeping arrangements.
He showed Heidi’s bed and another unconstructed bed that they “couldn’t be bothered” to put together after the drive.
He added: “There’s also all the other beds in the other camper van- they’ve made their beds up but I don’t think they’ve done a good job of it. We’ll try again tomorrow.”
With two camper vans and 15 people to keep track off, the Radford family came prepared for the journey and communicated with each other via walkie talkie.
As they were celebrating Phoebe’s fifth birthday on the trip, the Radfords also has to be savvy with their packing.
Sue revealed a hidden compartment where they stashed Phoebe’s presents ahead of the big day.
Many YouTube users flooded the comment section with support for the family.
One person said: “It looks like the beginning of a FUN holiday! (Also a bit of a job!)”
Another said: “Wow what beautiful memories you make for the kids. Camper vans look amazing and a great way to explore.”
“I’m dreading a 3hr 44 minute drive to the beach in a few weeks with my three little ones, “one person wrote. “Seeing you take 13 including little ones for a 8 hour trip has given me so much more confidence.”
Another said: “You are amazing, I couldn’t possibly have tackled a) driving a massive motor home or b) taken so many children on an 8 hour drive.”
