A Darwen youth charity, which is too poor' to afford office furniture, has been given a helping hand by a local business.
Textile product manufacturers Herbert Parkinson, based at Harvest Mill, Monton Road, Darwen, has donated office blinds, chairs and beanbags to Youthworks.
The charity runs community projects with people in Darwen aged eight to 24.
Danny Haworth, project officer at Youthworks, said: "We're only paupers here - we can't afford office blinds.
"We'd been in touch with Herbert Parkinson about a project and when they heard we needed things for the office, they decided to help us out."
Debbie Hall, community liason co-ordinator for Herbert Parkinson, said: "We've always been involved in the local community and we are looking to work with local projects in the future.
"We are keen to help projects like this who don't necessarily get the funding they need.
"And it helps our partners have pride in the local community."
Drop-in sessions are held at Youthworks offices on Ash Grove, Darwen, mainly for people in the Earcroft area.
