A LANCASHIRE restaurant has received a very special accolade from online travel company, TripAdvisor.
The Bank Bar & Grill in Blackpool has been given a Traveller’s Choice Award and listed as one of the ‘Top Everyday Eats’ in the United Kingdom and Channel Islands.
This award category is for restaurants which serve “great food that won’t break the bank”.
The restaurant, which is on Corporation Street in Blackpool, came in at sixth place on TripAdvisor’s top 10 list.
The independent family-run restaurant was established in 2018.
They offer locally sourced food and drink in a “modern and relaxed environment”.
There are a variety of items on the menu, including steaks, lamb shank and lasagne.

Once you take a look at the restaurant’s reviews, it’s clear to see why The Bank Bar and Grill has developed such a sterling reputation.
It has a five star rating on TripAdvisor and it has received over 955 reviews- over 93 per cent of which are ‘excellent’.
One happy customer said: “What a great place the bank is. The staff were so good.
“Felt very safe in this restaurant wipes as well as sanitiser on table.
“The banoffee pie was delicious as were the cocktails. We will definitely be back when visiting Blackpool.”
Another wrote: “Staff in this restaurant is fantastic!
“Everyone, from the guy on the door who took us to our table to waitresses and waiters who served us, everyone was so nice and friendly. Food was delicious- cocktails too!”
“We selected this place based on TripAdvisor reviews,” one person wrote.
“This place is far better than the good reviews suggest- the service impeccable and friendly
“The food and drink were absolutely exceptional as was service. My recommendation is walk Strait past Wetherspoons and Yates and forget about them.This place is far far better, and will cost the same.”
The Bank were also clearly excited about the accolade.
They said: “We found out that we had been awarded ‘TripAdvisor Travellers Choice, Best of the Best 2021 Award’ for ‘Everyday Eats’ and our restaurant was ranked No. 6 in the UK.
“In the three years we have been trading our team (both current and past) have worked extremely hard to create the atmosphere, service style and menu that we are able to offer today.
“This award is testament to their dedication, and we want to thank them all from the bottom of our hearts.
“We know we are only as good as our last meal, and we now have even more reason and motivation to look forward to developing The Bank Bar & Grill through this year and beyond and todays award has really put a spring in our step.
“We are so proud of our team and once again thank you to you all.”
If you want to visit the restaurant for yourself, you can make a reservation between 12pm- 9:30pm Tuesday- Thursday and Sundays.
On Friday and Saturday, it’s open between 12pm and 10pm.
The restaurant is closed on Mondays.
