THE Scout Association is looking for volunteers who want to get fit and give something back to the community.
The Pendle branch of the association is looking for volunteers to help run their Beaver colonies, Cub Scout packs and Scout troops.
There are boys and girls between six and 18 on waiting lists who cannot join because of a lack of volunteers.
Ronnie Doctor, of the Scout Association, said: "Volunteers can give as much of their time as possible and the Scout Association has a flexible programme which enables volunteers to fit their involvement in with their lives.
"Becoming a volunteer for the Scout Association has a number of benefits.
"You can lead an active lifestyle, lose weight and get fit, meet new people of all ages, help young people achieve something new, try something new and give something back to the community."
