A PUB landlord who drove while banned was leaving the job the day after his appearance in court.
Burnley magistrates heard John Longton, 59, was thinking of quitting the Shake-speare Hotel, Padiham anyway, but his arrest made up his mind.
Longton, of Stockbridge Road, Padiham, admitted driving while disqualified and no insurance.
He was given 60 hours unpaid work, with £65 costs and six penalty points.
Longton, who was not represented, told the court it was just a "stupid mistake".
