BURNLEY MP Kitty Ussher is celebrating the birth of a second child, a boy.
Mrs Ussher, 36, who has represented the borough since 2005 and is now a junior treasury minister, gave birth to little George Patrick Colley at Burnley General Hospital at 7.37pm yesterday.
She endured a 36-hour labour, but delivered the baby, who weighed in at 8lb 6.5oz, naturally.
Her daughter, Elizabeth Susan Colley, was born in September 2005, also at the town's hospital.
A spokesman for Mrs Ussher and her husband Peter Colley, who gave up work in 2005 to look after the family, said the couple were "delighted but exhausted."
