MORRISONS workers will be taking part in a 10 mile charity walk from Bacup to Ramsbottom in order to raise money for charity.
During the store to store walk, staff members will be stopping off at local pubs, cafes and businesses where they hope generous customers can donate to their charity buckets.
Rose and Bull and Hare and Hound pubs in Stacksteads are just two stop off points on their list, as well as the The Jolly Sailor pub in Rossendale.
Natalie-Ann Brown, the community champion for Morissons in Bacup said staff are “excited” for the event- and hope to raise as much money as possible.
She added that the event will be taking place next Sunday (18 July) “come rain or shine”.
So far, 19 members of Morrisons staff are taking part but more could join.
Best of all, fancy dress is welcome- and some people are going all out.
They hope to raise £500 for Young Lives vs Cancer and Samaritans charities with the 10 mile walk.
Natalie said: “We would love it if people could look out for us on the way and maybe even cheer us on.”
How to donate
If you want to donate you can head over to the Morrisons Bacup Community Champion page.
Natalie said a Just Giving page is being set up soon- so keep an eye on the social media page to see when it goes live.
However, the team will also be walking with charity buckets on July 18th so you can give them cash this way too.
