A LANCASHIRE school featured on an episode of This Morning yesterday (6 June) in a segment that sparked a debate about Twitter trolls and ‘football hooligans’.
Presenters Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby and guest host Vanessa Feltz critised Twitter trolls that forced a Fleetwood Primary school to temporarily deactivate their Twitter account.
Flakefleet Primary School filmed their version of the Fat Les football song ‘Vindaloo’.

In the video, the school’s can be seen marching to the song, waving England flags and cheering the team on.
You can watch the full video over on YouTube.
The video was posted to YouTube on 3 July and since then has racked up 31,000 views. While many people have offered words of support to the school and their video, not every commenter has been as positive.
One person wrote: “I've left a complaint on its website.
“It's disgusting behaviour these children are being pressed to participate in by the school.”
Another wrote: “I have a seven-year-old child. I absolutely do not want her to be exposed to this kind of mindless hooliganism.”
The school temporarily suspended its Twitter for around 24 hours but returned with a tweet which read: “We’ve been a bit freaked out by all the extra interest in our football video, the support is overwhelming!
“We all had such fun making it and are glad we’re making so many people smile! Thank you everyone for helping us show our support of the amazing England Team! #ItsComingHome”
Head teacher, Dave McPartlin also had something to say about the backlash.
On July 4 he tweeted: “There are times that social media can be amazing and make such brilliant things happen, but it can also be a dark and disturbing place that really makes you question the direction society is heading.”
The incident has since hit national headlines and it even sparked a debate on ITV show, This Morning.
The hosts were supportive of the school and wondered why the trolls were lashing out at the video.
"I don't understand this," Holly Willoughby said after Phillip explained the story.
Phillip Schofield said: “People are so thick... Are you literally serious? This is when Twitter stinks.”
Vanessa asked: "Where's the sense of humour? Where's the sense of occasion and celebration..."
Phil interjected: "Celebration with kids dancing..."
When discussing why they removed their Twitter account to begin with, Holly added: “People buckle under the pressure of other people’s opinion.
Vanessa agreed, adding: “People are so afraid of being ‘cancelled’ that they don’t want to take the risk- it really is a shame.”
