A 41-year-old woman and an 18-year-old man are in hospital following a crash.
Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after the incident, which happened on Monday.
Officers were called at around 4pm on July 5 to Penwortham Way in Preston following reports of a crash involving a Honda Civic car and Volkswagen Polo car.
The driver of the Honda, a 41-year-old woman from Penwortham, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment. She is in a stable condition.
The driver of the Volkswagen, an 18-year-old man, also from Penwortham, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
Sgt Michael Higginson, of Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations, said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision.
“If you can help with our investigation and saw what happened, please contact us immediately.”
