Chorley athlete Vicky Gill may have had to settle for second behind Helen Clitheroe at the Ribble Valley 10K, but she did manage one victory over the Christmas break at the Boxing Day 10K Road Race around Worden Park, Leyland.
Only nine men were ahead of her in a field of 266 as the Aldershot club runner returned 33:22. Fell international Sarah Tunstall was left well in arrears.
Chorley Harrier Sara Parkinson was fourth and first junior in 38:38, while the first junior man was also first outright.
Liverpool's Adam Peers completed the flat and fast course in 31:09.
First local was James Kevan, the Chorley-based Horwich RMI Harrier took fourth spot in 32:18, as Chorley Harrier John Sutton placed 17th.
