THE BLACK BULL in Langho is another East Lancashire pub to announce a temporary closure.
They said a variety of reasons have led them to the decision, including “kitchen failures” and staff isolating thanks to Test and Trace app alerts
The Black Bull team posted the announcement to Facebook earlier today (14 June).
They wrote: "It's with a heavy heart I have to inform you all that we will be closing the pub for the next four days. (Monday 14th - Thursday 17th)
“We've battled on the past couple of weeks with kitchen failures and isolated staff from Test & Trace, but it's got to the point where we just don't have a big enough team to open daily right now, or to look after you at the high standards you're used to - and to be completely honest, we're exhausted!
“We will be opening and serving food on Friday 18th June, and all over the weekend, and we hope to be back to normal really soon!
“Just right now we join the growing list of local venues who have had to stop for a few days and take a breath.
“We will contact our reservations over the next couple of days, but if you have any queries then please don't hesitate to call us.”
At the time of writing, the post has received more than 107 interactions on Facebook and 22 shares.
Commenters were very supportive of the pub and their decision to close temporarily.

Enjoy your well-deserved rest!
Last week (10 June) the pub commented on their technical kitchen issues and were also contacted by Test and Trace meaning they “had to put their kitchen team into isolation” right before the Euros kicked off.
This isn’t the first pub in Lancashire to announce a temporary closure.
The Grey Mare at Belthorn announced last week that it would be closing until June 20 due to a number of staff members having to self-isolate.
Ribble Valley pub staff at The Aspinall Arms were also told to self-isolate after being contacted by NHS Test and Trace.
However, this pub remained open for customers but they “re-jigged” the rotas, with the head chef swapping roles and serving drinks for a few days until staff can return.
Staff at The Black Bull declined to comment on the situation.
