A MAN with violent offending on his criminal record, was involved in an early morning fracas outside his home.

Thomas Howard shouted at his partner, banged on windows and was aggressive towards police who were called.

He was given a suspended sentence by a judge at Preston Crown Court, who told the 31-year-old: "I regard the protection of Emily Barron as paramount in this case."

Howard, of Hurstwood Avenue, Blackburn admitted affray.

He was sentenced to twelve months in prison, suspended for two years, with two years supervision.
