A trio who run a popular Blackburn takeaway are celebrating the business' first birthday today.
Tewwstep, on Albert Street, opened to the public on June 9, 2020, with the owners cooking from home following a fantastic response to their food from family members.
Co-owners, Nathan Marsden, 26, Jacob Griffin, 24 and Kalum Bromage, 24, are delighted to be celebrating the takeaway's first year of business despite there being many lockdown hurdles along the way.
A spokesperson for the takeaway said: "A huge thank you to everyone who has ordered with us and supported this crazy little venture.
"We will continue to strive to give the best dine out experience possible - serving the freshest take-out food.
"It has been a journey and we have met a lot of amazing people - for anyone who has contributed - our gratitude is forever."
Jacob and Kalum were laid off from their jobs at the Assheton Arms in Downham during the first lockdown back in March 2020 which is when the group came up with an idea to start cooking for friends and family.
This spiralled before they were that popular they decided to rent out a shop.
The shop opened in July to the public and since then the take away has continued to go from strength to strength.
They are open from Wednesday to Sunday.
