A WOMAN locked herself in the bathroom after her ex-partner damaged a table and then threw a bottle towards her.
Blackburn magistrates heard Brian Livesey kicked the bathroom door open before kicking the toilet roll holder which flew off the wall and made contact with Natasha Hindle.
Livesey, 23, of Sycamore Grove, Baxenden, pleaded guilty to assaulting Miss Hindle, criminal damage to a bathroom door and a toilet roll holder and criminal damage to a cage in a police van. He was remanded on bail for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Rachel Dixon, prosecuting, said following his arrest Livesey told police he would "sort her out" when he was released.
Gareth Price, defending, said his client had been in custody for 50 hours and had time to calm down and reflect on what had happened.
"He accepts that out of frustration he said some things he now regrets and had no intention of carrying out," said Mr Price.
He said an argument had started between Livesey and his girlfriend and things had got out of hand.
