A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Officers from Burnley taskforce arrested the 25-year-old on Saturday afternoon following targeted investigations into drug dealing in the town.
Upon apprehending the man, police seized what is believed to be a spade and numerous bags of what looked like crack cocaine and heroin.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Officers have been targeting the Burns Street area of Daneshouse after numerous reports of drug dealing from the community. Upon seeing officers, the male made off on foot, but was detained a short distance away.
"He is now in custody and will be interviewed in due course. We will continue to listen to the public and drive our targeted activity around what really matters most to our communities."
