A PAIR of entrepreneurs are helping to showcase businesses across the region with their new 3D virtual reality photography company.
VR Pixel was founded by Burnley-based Tomas Garl and Justinas Jelin who use the latest technology to create virtual reality tours for clients.
The business has already worked with Burnley Borough Council and SPAR's north of England wholesaler James Hall and Co to create virtual 3D tours of Towneley Hall’s Museum and Art Gallery, and Lancaster University’s newly refurbished SPAR store.
Mr Garl said: "It was fantastic to work at Towneley Hall, especially when people couldn’t visit during lockdown.
"VR Pixel created walkthrough virtual tours to showcase the main art gallery and temporary exhibitions, which are still available on Towneley Hall’s website, to help to share the hall’s historic architecture and extensive art collection."
However, this is just the beginning of the company's plans, with recent lockdown restrictions having incentivised more potential customers to take an interest in the virtual world.
Mr Garl said: “Many organisations have had to embrace virtual meetings over the past twelve months but 3D technology takes the virtual experience one step further.
"3D virtual tours have been shown to be 300 per cent more engaging than 2D imagery and can be used for multiple scenarios including residential and commercial property, showcasing hospitality venues to attract potential events bookings, and also offering customers who are unable to travel, the opportunity to explore places of interest, shops and exhibitions."
Having honed their skills with their work for Burnley Council and SPAR, Mr Garl and Mr Jelin hope to create walkthrough tours and 3D scans for yet more clients.
In particular, they hope to create immersive and interactive experiences for retail outlets, museums, corporate properties and hospitality venues.
Mr Garl said: “The scope for this type of marketing software is huge and as the county starts to re-open, we are excited to be able to help businesses attract customers and showcase what they can offer.
"If you want to stand out from the crowd and attract new clients, 3D Virtual tour technology could be just what you need to engage new and existing customers."
