East Lancashire Hospice has raised more than £100,000 for the Covid Pandemic Impact Appeal.

A whopping £76,362 of this incredible total has been raised through the generosity of the local community who have been donating, while a further £24,479 has been raised so far on Anita Almond’s JustGiving page.

Anita’s story is integral to the campaign and illustrates how the care and support provided by the hospice can make a real difference to the lives of its patients and their families

Upon hearing the fantastic news, Steve Almond, Anita’s husband, who kindly allowed the hospice to share Anita’s story, said: “I am incredibly proud to hear that a generous donation from a very dear friend has now taken the campaign total to over £75,000!

"I’m honestly blown away by the kindness and generosity of people who have supported this campaign when the hospice’s usual fundraising activities have been impacted so much by the Covid pandemic.”
