A man has been charged by police after threatening someone with a knife in the middle of the street.
Around 9.30pm on Friday police were sent to Lytham Road in the seaside resort of Blackpool after receiving reports that a woman was being attacked in the street.
Officers in the area later arrested a man in connection with the incident.
Following enquires, Thomas Brotherton, 21, of Lytham Road, Blackpool, was charged with affray, assaulting a person thereby occasioning them actual bodily harm, using threatening behaviour with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence, two offences of criminal damage, possessing a knife in a public place and threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
He was due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court yeon Monday.
