People heading to Blackpool asked to find different route as 2-car smash closes major road
Anyone travelling to Blackpool or Lytham St Annes today are asked to find alternative routes as police have closed several roads due to a crash.
Officers say they are currently dealing with a two-car smash at the junction of Station Road and East Beach in Lytham, close to the town's iconic windmill.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We are currently dealing with a two vehicle road traffic collision on Station Road/East Beach in Lytham St. Annes.
"This has lead to several road closures in the area whilst we are dealing.
"Please can you avoid the area and find alternative routes where possible."
