A POPULAR Lancashire hotspot has been named among the top ‘Instagrammable peaks’ in the UK.

Having reviewed 120 mountains across the UK to collate the data, the results show that Pendle Hill is ninth in the top 10 list, with Snowdon the mountain deemed to take the most Instagram-worthy photograph.

With 2021 set to be the year for Brits to discover more of what the UK has to offer, Welsh cottage company Sugar & Loaf conducted research into the best peaks and mountains to visit across Britain.

Its research reveals the most Instagrammable, most family-friendly, most loved, and best overall mountains, munroes and hills to add to a bucket list.

Others in the top 10 were Beacon Hill, Wales and Ben Nevis, Scottish Highlands.

Shannon Keary, Digital PR Manager at Sugar & Loaf, said: “2020 really opened up our eyes to the amazing places to visit we have right here in the UK. While we’re all raring to pack our bags and get out for an adventure as soon as we are able, we thought this research could help those in search of the best climbs in Britain to plan for the future!"

She added: "It's been really fascinating to pull together, and it’s great to see that so many of our much-loved Welsh mountains, including Snowdon and Hope Mountain, have made the top 10s alongside so many other marvellous options.

"We hope that this will inspire more people than ever to experience the breathtaking sights on offer across the UK, particularly from the top of our peaks."
