A CASULTY was rushed to hospital after a fire broke out in a house.
Two fire crews from Blackburn attended to the blaze, which took hold on East Park Road in the town.
The fire had involved the cooker at a domestic property.
On arrival firefighters found there were three casualties suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
They used a fan to clear the property of smoke and a first aid kit to tend to the casualties before ambulance crews arrived.
One person was taken to hospital for further treatment, the other two declined hospital treatment. Crews were in attendance around forty minutes.
