SHOCKING pictures show the result of a serious crash which happened at the hands of a drink driver over the bank holiday weekend.
The images, which were uploaded to social media by police, were taken on Barbara Castle Way in Blackburn on Sunday.
They show a severely mangled car on its roof.
Debris from the crash is scattered around the road, which had been cordened off by officers in attendance.
It is not believed anyone was seriously injured in the incident.
A spokesman said: "This is the result of drink driving. Audi driver on Barbara Castle Way, Blackburn puts in on its roof and provides a reading of 90. Utterly selfish, indefensible and absolutely avoidable. Drink driving costs lives and they are lucky they aren't seriously injured."
