A POLICE dog tracked a suspect through footballs fields before catching him.
The driver of a Renualt Kangoo attempted to evade Tactical Operations officers in Leyland on Sunday morning.

After a lengthy pursuit the driver fled on foot - through the football pitches behind Police HQ of all places! As a result, the police dog unit were drafted in for help and PD Frank chased the man before catching up with him.
A police spokesman said: “Renault Kangoo attempted to evade @LancsTacOps and @NPASNorthWest in Leyland this morning. After a lengthy pursuit the driver fled on foot - through the football pitches behind Police HQ of all places! He soon gave up when he saw PD Frank chasing him down across the field.”
