Motorists are being asked to find alternative routes this afternoon following a crash in the Ribble Valley.
Police are currently dealing with an incident at the mini roundabout on the Pimlico Link Road next to Clitheroe Hospital.
Traffic is backed-up close to Clitheroe Royal Grammar school along Chatburn Road and officers have closed the roads in the immediate area.
Traffic is also affected for those motorists trying to leave the town.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We are currently dealing with an RTC at the mini roundabout of the Pimlico Link Road next to Clitheroe Hospital.
"Please avoid the area when travelling home.
"We will advise once it has reopened.
"Thank you for your patience."

The severity of the incident is not yet known and it is unclear if anyone has been hurt or seriously injured.
