Driver caught reversing wrong way round motorway services has car seized
The driver of a Mercedes had his car seized when he was caught trying to reverse the wrong way round a motorway service station.
Police clocked the driver at the top of the slip road at Charnock Richard services on the M6 on Thursday evening.
The erratic behaviour caused other road users to swerve and when police managed to speak with the driver they discovered he had an expired licence.
A spokesperson for the police said: "This Mercedes seen trying to reverse the wrong way around the services at the top of the slip at Charnock Richard M6 causing other road users to swerve.
"Upon speaking with the driver they had an expired driving licence.
"Driver reported for offences and car seized."
