A 35-year-old woman has been arrested in suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the neck.
Police were called early this morning to an address in Blackpool, where they found a man in his 30s, with a stab wound to his neck.
A 35-year-old woman was subsequently apprehended and is currently in custody.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We were called to Yorkshire Street, Blackpool at 5.04am on Thursday after receiving information about an assault.
"Officers attended and found a man in his 30s with a stab wound to his neck inside a property on the street.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a stable condition.
"A 35-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody."
Enquires are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the incident but police say no-one else is being sought in connection with it.
