A man has been charged with burglary after more than £20,000 worth of stock was stolen from an electrical wholesalers.
On Monday May 17, police were alerted to a break-in at City Electrical Ltd in Clitheroe, in which £20,000 worth of stock was taken.
Following extensive enquiries, John Hindle from Accrington was arrested and on Wednesday he was charged with burglary and will appear in court in due course.
A spokesperson for the police said: "On Monday May 17, officers from both the neighbourhood team and rural task force attended reports of a burglary at City Electrical Ltd, Clitheroe where over £20,000 worth of stock was stolen.
"This obviously caused distress to the owners, with the potential to have a lasting detrimental affect on the business.
"After extensive enquiries, John Hindle from Accrington was charged yesterday with burglary and will appear in court in due course.
"We'd again like to thank the general public who supported the investigation."
