Two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of more than £500 worth of cosmetics.
Police stopped a car at the Charnock Richard services on the M6 earlier on Wednesday as they believed the occupants of the vehicle had been involved in the theft.
The cosmetics were recovered from the vehicle and two people were duly apprehended.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Occupants of vehicle believed involved in a theft of cosmetics worth over £500 from a shop in Preston stopped on the M6 at Charnock Richard Services.
"Property recovered and two arrested before they could create a disguise with their ‘loot’."
