A MOTORWAY junction was closed earlier today after a traffic collision.
Police say that they had to close Junction 32 of the M6, which is between Lancaster and Preston, following a collision in which a car on the slip road had collided with a barrier, leaving someone trapped inside.
Three fire engines from Preston and Fulwood also attended the incident
The crews used cutting equipment to remove the doors of the car and rescue the casualty.
They also administered first aid prior to the injured person who was then taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Crews were in attendance around one hour.
