Police are reminding football supporters to act responsibly ahead of tonight’s game.
Officers in Blackpool will be policing the seasiders' second leg play-off semi-final match against Oxford United at Bloomfield Road this evening.
And while some home fans are allowed inside the ground, police say they recognise that others may be planning to gather outside.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We will have a public safety operation in conjunction with the club in place and we will not tolerate anti-social behaviour, including the use of pyrotechnics.
"An investigation into an incident last week where a man’s hand was injured by a pyrotechnic is still ongoing.
"It is also important to remember that while some restrictions have eased, the coronavirus is still with us and people should act with caution and keep themselves and others safe."
Last week, a man's hand was badly injured by a firework as he went to move it after it had been thrown in the direction of a child.
Chief Insp Chris Hardy, of Blackpool Police, said: “We know this is a significant moment in the season for Blackpool fans but our overarching aim is ensuring all supporters go home safely and the team secure their place at Wembley”.
