A YOGA instructor and a teacher have teamed up to open their own baby yoga studio for mums.
Briony Aston, wife of Coronation Street star Sam Aston, opened the doors to Happy Baby Studio with ex-teacher Olivia Phillips in Crawshawbooth on Monday.
The business partners and best friends met while both were pregnant during the lockdown and were part of the same mummy groups.
Briony is already a certified yoga teacher, but after having nine-month-old Sonny, wants to focus on baby and mum bonding through their sessions.
She said: “Olivia and I were both pregnant at the same time in the pandemic and part of national mum groups. The Kent mums would meet up, but I couldn’t find anyone in Rossendale.
“So, when Olivia said she was in Rossendale, we decided to connect.”
Their babies, Sonny and Felicity, are just three days apart.

Briony said: “It’s massive support for each other.
“I already teach yoga, so I thought it would be fun to do it and bring mums and babies together with others.
“We wanted to make this our work.”
They started off in Briony’s garage but when a studio became available, they took the plunge and opened on Monday.
Briony said: “This is for both mums and babies, so mums can meet other new mums especially since the pandemic meant nobody could do this before.
“They have not had the support they should have had, and that is local to them.
“It can be hard to meet friends when you become a mum and since we couldn’t go out, it’s just nice to be able to do this.”
Briony said: “Olivia already did massage sessions with her daughter Felicity and in the few sessions we’ve had since, she will sing with her ukulele and it’s really fun.
“We’d sit down together afterwards, forming a support bubble and talk about things we were experiencing.”
