A PUB is seeking to build a smoking shelter on land bought from the council.
The Old England Forever in Church Street, Clayton-le-Moors has applied for planning permission from Hyndburn Council for the new structure and an outside seating area.
It bought the 10 metre by six metre patch of land from the council in September last year for the purpose of the addition.
Neil Turner, for the pub, has asked for permission to change the use of the land.
He tells planners it will be the site for an outdoor seating area and small smoking shelter with a low level surrounding wall and concrete base.
The shelter and seating area will be for the use of the pub's customers.
