SHOPPERS and visitors to a town centre are being asked to promote post-coronavirus positivity with painted pebbles.
A new campaign 'Blackburn Rocks' wants to create a path to happiness on the streets and online.
People coming to the town are being asked to paint pebbles and leave them for others to find in the town centre.
The campaign, launched by Blackburn BID in partnership with The Mall, is inviting people to put inspiring words, images or phrases on rocks and pebbles and leave them hidden around Blackburn.
The campaign, launched this week, marks the lead up to step three of the roadmap to recovery which sees leisure and hospitality venues reopen on Monday.
Once people have created their pebbles they are asked to share a photo, using the hashtags #BlackburnRocks and #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek for others to locate them.
Catherine Price, Blackburn town centre BID Manager, said: “As the restrictions ease further, it’s a step in the right direction for many businesses in the town centre and we want to spread some positivity.
“We would like to invite people to spread some cheer in the town centre and make someone smile. It’s a great activity for families to get involved in and is sure to brighten someone’s day.”
