Mobile phones, drugs and several personal items have been seized by police from a car on false plates.
On Saturday, officers on Darwen spotted a suspicious looking vehicle with two men inside.
When the men saw the police they abandoned the vehicle and ran from the car.
Unfortunately for them, they left behind several wraps of class A and B drugs, mobile phones and a few personal items.
A spokesperson for the police said: "Yesterday the Neighbourhood Taskforce have been in Darwen when a vehicle was seen with two males on board.
"Upon seeing the police vehicle the two males have abandoned the vehicle along with an amount of class A and B drugs, mobile phones and several personal items.
"Further checks have revealed the vehicle was in fact on false plates.
"The car has now been seized and all the other items are safely in police possession.
"If the two males would like the safe return of several personal items seized please make contact via 101 quoting reference 1197 of May 1."
