A TEENAGER admitted holding up two convenience stores in the same evening while wielding a hammer.
Phillip Kiggin, 18, burst into two small shops where women were working alone and ordered them to open tills.
He fled from Longsight News in Harwood, Bolton, after Constance Isherwood refused to give him any cash but struck just minutes later at a shop in Stubbins, Rossendale.
Kiggin, of Brentwood Drive, Farnworth, Bolton, was caught in Beverley, East Yorkshire a fortnight later. Police suspect he was trying to flee the country.
He admitted robbery and attempted robbery at Bolton Crown Court.
The offences were committed during a one-hour spell between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on September 13.
He was remanded in custody to be sentenced on January 16.
