A MAN was rescued from a fire at his home in Shorrock Lane, Mill Hill, Blackburn, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
Firefighters were called by a neighbour who heard the smoke alarms.
The fire service said a grill pan had been left on and the man had been asleep around 2am.
Crew manager Alex Wilson urged anyone without smoke alarms to contact the fire station on 01254 52111 to arrange for them to be fitted.
