EMERGENCY services were called to deal with a number of accidents following icy road conditions.
Fire crews were called to incidents in Parklands Way, Livesey, Blackburn, and Brownhill Drive, Blackburn, in the early hours of Saturday.
Icy conditions were blamed for both accidents. A third accident occurred near junction 11 of the M65 but the weather is not believed to have played a part.
Just after midnight a black Ford Focus slid across Parklands Way and hit the front porch of a house.
The female driver was taken to hospital as a precaution and there was no damage to the house. During the second incident a car hit a traffic signal in Brownhill Drive around 4.30am. No one was injured.
Two people escaped injury when their car clipped a barrier on the M65 on Sunday morning. A third person was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital with slight injuries after a silver Lexus, travelling between junctions 12 and 11, went through a gap in the barrier.
Police and ambulance services attended and the barrier sustained slight damage.
Police said icy condtions were not a factor in the accident.
