A Blackburn road has been closed to traffic due to roadworks.

Wensley Road is closed between St Mark’s Road and French Road. Traffic has been diverted onto St Mark’s Road and motorists are advised not to turn on Wensley Road from Buncer Road.

The closure forced many parents who drop their children off at Witton Park Academy to find alternative routes.

There is further misery for motorist temporary traffic lights have been installed on Redlam close to the traffic lights with Buncer Lane.
