A 21-year-old woman walked away after crashing her car into a lamp-post causing extensive damage to the vehicle.
Magistrates at Black-burn heard that Emma Sears and her partner, who had also been in the car, were challenged by a lorry driver as they walked away and at the time they were both covered in tomato sauce.
When police examined the vehicle they found empty pizza boxes and topping spattered all over the inside.
Sears, of Derwent Court, Darwen, admitted driving without due care and was fined £175 with £75 costs and given seven penalty points. Under the new driver provisions, she will have to re-take her driving test.
Andrew Church-Taylor, defending, said Sears had looked at her boyfriend and in that moment had collided with the lamp- post.
