THREE coronavirus three testing sites in a borough will remain open over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
Residents of Blackburn with Darwen who develop symptoms of Covid-19 are urged to make use of them.
The permanent site at Old Bank Lane, outside the Royal Blackburn Hospital, will be open all four days only for appointments made via the national system by booking online or calling 119.
Appointments at two others are available via online, 119 or just by walking up.
The testing centres on Blackburn college car park and the Railway Road car park in Darwen are open from 8am to 8pm.
The three rapid testing sites at Ewood Park, King George’s Hall and Work at Over Darwen House will be closed from Good Friday to Easter Monday, reopening on Tuesday April 6.
The Earcroft site has closed permanently from this week and the King George’s Hall and Work at Over Darwen House sites will reopen with new times of 7.30am to 3pm from next week.
Opening times at Ewood Park will remain unchanged.
A community collect option is now also available with lateral flow test kits available from the Old Bank Lane, Blackburn College and Railway Road test sites after 1pm.
Pre-booking isn’t necessary, residents can walk up to claim a kit.
