A teenager who attacked a man leaving him needing surgery could be facing jail.
John Kerr, 19, of Henry Street, Church, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm on April 20. He was bailed until January 18, for a pre-sentence report and was warned all options were open.
Burnley Crown Court Recorder Stephen Killeen told him the fact he was granting the defendant bail was no indication of what the sentence would be. He went on: "Somebody had to have an operation as a result of what you did."
