A man will appear in court over alleged poaching offences.

On Monday evening, police in Trawden were called to farmland after receiving reports of a man poaching in the area.

Officers say the man was only located and identified after they spotted him trying to free his vehicle from mud in a field.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Team 4 were called to reports of a male poaching near to a farm in Trawden.

"After a short time the male was located trying to free his vehicle from a muddy field.

"He was later reported for summons and is awaiting his day in court."
